Neben den unten genannten Empfehlungen rate ich euch dringend, den im Unterricht erwähnten Oberstufenwortschatz zu kaufen und gut zu lernen. Teilt euch das Buch über die Dauer des Kurses in kleine Lerneinheiten ein, damit ihr nicht kurz vor den Abiprüfungen einen riesigen Haufen vor euch habt!

How to sequence your ideas:

next – subsequently – then – thereafter – first / firstly (attention: it is: first – second – third  OR firstly, secondly, thirdly – please do not mix these!) – initially, to begin (with), next, second / secondly, third / thirdly, then, finally, last / lastly, in addition, moreover, further, furthermore, another, also, in conclusion, to summarise (BE) / summarize(AE), …

How to add ideas:

and, in addition, additionally, an additional point / idea / reason / …, besides, further / furthermore, also, too, as well as, moreover, …

Putting something in contrast:

by contrast, in contrast to…, conversely, instead of…, on the contrary, otherwise, however, nevertheless, nonetheless, still, although / even though, though, but, yet, despite, in spite of, in comparison, while, whereas, on the one hand … on the other hand (please keep these expressions together, don’t just use one of these two), on the contrary, …

How to put emphasis on sth:
